Tell her that you want to spend some quality time with her, as the two of you are friends, that you are not directly friends with the sister.

Tell your friend firmly buut nicely...its the only way to go...but choose your words carefully..you dont want to upset her..

Does seem a bit bizarre. Does she worry her sister doesn't have friends or doesn't get out much? The only people I know who do everything with their sister or brother are those who are trying to get their sibling through something, like a break up or a death or something, or if the sibling is new in an area and doesn't know many people.

If all else fails have a word with the sister. Stretch the truth and tell her that its ok having time with both her sister(your friend) and her, but you'd like to have some time alone with your friend.
