The Channel 61 challenge !

    Hi all,

I'm in west Dublin. Ever since ITV4 came on stream via digital satellite, I've been piping the signal around my house on analogue UHF Channel 61 (791.25MHz). However I've noticed in the past few days a degradation in picture quality.

This happened to me before when I was relaying another satellite channel on Channel 58 (767.25MHz). I noticed the same noisy picture when the channel started to carry DTT signals.

Does anyone with the proper equipment in the Dublin area fancy scanning Channel 61 to see if indeed it's now carrying DTT?

DTT Trial Mux 2 is on 61.

When DTT started up here a lot of people replaced perfectly good videos thinking the grainy pictures meant they were faulty when all that was wrong was their modulator RF outputs were on the same UHF channel as one of the DTT multiplexes.

That explains that, so. Interesting how it only seems to have manifested itself during the last few days. Maybe the power has been increased?

    Thanks for the replies.

A lower channel would be better, even without DTT, as signal loss through the cable would be much less. Try Ch 22 or 41.
