Never heard of this til rumblings of a film began so long ago. I'm not excited really but will probably see it just to see what the fuss is over.

Looking forward to this quite a bit, hope they make a good job of it with out sacrificing too much.

I have said it many times before. Can't get too hyped over it as it will more than definitely lose some of the complex themes and structure of the novel. But I have faith they could make a good adaptation - just a need to be liberal. I'm a Watchmen fanboy, but if they handle the thing carefully I am willing to forgive it's inevitable 'watering down'.

the good news for me is its getting an "R" rating.

meaning its over 18s for us so hopefully it wont be dumbed down too much. i liked the book but have to admit alot of it is going to be junked as its too unweildly (the whole pirate ship adventure for instance comes to mind) . still it has the potential to be a really good movie.

personally if it works as well as "V for Vendetta" in terms of a translation i'll be happy.

R rating doesnt automatically equal 18s.It can be 15s/16s as well.My moneys on the 16 cert if its a panal-for-panal repersentation as like Synder done with 300.
