    Hi

    Just wondering

    1. is the easybus from stanstead better value than the train/terrorvision (seems to be but wondering about any ones personal experience)?

    2. If I prebook how do I decide times, should I pick an hour after the arrival time ( to allow for ryanair delays etc) , or are you just booking a ticket rather than a particular bus ( it asks for times on the website but wondered if that was so they could project volume rather than limiting you to a bus)
e.g. if you book the 5pm and your plane is late, can you take the 5.30 or have to pay again /

I'm checking on the website at the moment, but some one might be more clued in than me.

    cheers

If you are on a Ryanair plane the air hostess will come around selling tickets for the Stansted Express. It is just as handy buying them on the plane, they last all day long. Easybus is a good bit cheaper.
Travelling From Stansted Airport (Southbound to London Central)

If you arrive late (and have missed your booked easyBus) you may travel on the next easyBus service that day (including the 00.10, 00.40 and 01.10 the next day) subject to seat availability without any additional payment.

You must go to the easyBus ticket desk (in the arrivals concourse) where seat availability can be confirmed and your booking confirmation amended. If that easyBus is full you will be advised of the next available departure time and you will be given guaranteed seats on that departure.

    The ticket desk is open 06.30 - 01.15 Monday - Friday, 08.00 - 01.15 Saturday, 09.00 - 01.15 Sunday.

Outside of these hours please see the easyBus driver at the Pick Up Point.

easyBus does not give refunds (or re-credit easyBus accounts) to passengers who:
miss their booked easyBus (for any reason whatsoever)
are unable or decide not to travel on the next available easyBus

Do you know how much the Stanstead Express tickets are if bought on board. Their website says £25 return, but another website said the cost of the ticket was £23.50. Hate to give Ryanair any more money than I have to!!

The standard return fare is 25.50. There is a £2 discount, so £23.50 for buying from the stansted express website.

Cheapest is to buy from the link on the Ryanair website which is £19.50 return.
This link passes through to the stansted express website, you are buying the exact same ticket with no extra restrictions.

I can't recall how much Ryanair charge on board for tickets but I doubt they will be any cheaper than the pre-booked ones.

I got the easy bus in June and found the service to be good. They are orange mini-buses, and have a frequent service.

The train is about £20-£25, while the bus is just £2. The bus takes about 30 minutes longer (but is that such a big deal?)

Our flight was delayed and we missed the bus we booked and there was no bother using our ticket on the next bus. (This may not have been as handy if the bus was full). I suggest you book your ticket for an hour after the flight lands, and you should have no bother getting on an earlier bus if you arrive on time.

    Hi

Booked return tickets for 2 people on easybus , works out 36.48euro

seems a good price (though 912 times more expensive than the air fare !)

seems unless its between 1 and 6 am there is no problem just catching the next bus

Don't think we'll be in time for the Globe at 7.30

Are planning to see Dali at the Tate, The Star Wars exhibit @ County Hall (?) then onto the thames clipper to see Prince. sweet
