Flopped house, turned quads.

This hand was from a 1/3 live cash game. So how exactly do you get maximum value out of this hand?

I have 88 in the SB, about 3/4 table limps. I complete and BB checks.

Flop is 998. (Pot is 21)I bet half the pot. About half of the limpers call.
Turn is an 8. (Pot is 61)I check, hoping someone with a 9 would bet out. They all check :S
River is a blank. I bet half the pot again, and they all fold.

Is there anything more I could have done? Like bet less on the river?

yea i definately would have bet out the turn, might mask your hand a bit and if someone has a 9 your going to get paid off anyway

Just bet more everywhere, pot it or nearer on the flop, and definitely bet the turn, any 9 will get AI, everything else will fold usually. Don't expect others to do your betting for you.

Bet more everywhere. Definatley the turn.

bet close to pot on the flop, bet the turn. bet the river.

bet out on the turn and hope for a caller. nothing more you can do after that.
