You cant be running IE6 on Vista, Vista comes with IE7 as standard.

Try getting firefox and use the adblocker extension.

    Try this site:

    http://www.admuncher.com/

Or if you do a bit of searching on youtube you can find out how to block a load of ads in one go by updating your hosts file. I did this and have been having minimal adverts wherever I go.

Although I think that one I mentioned is only a trial so you could give this a shot too:

Seems a lot of the add-ons for IE7 you have to pay for. Another reason why I love Firefox. It's all free.

Remove It Permanently is also good if you use the same pages over and over again
    Ablock Plus
NoScript - blocks all scripts except for sites you allow, handy for links to third party sites.

IE - this is messy but does work. you have to manually edit wild card URL's that matchi the thing you are trying to block . and use wordpad to edit the file not notepad. It's a real knudge/hack/overkill for a few images but works with almost all browsers ( not sure about safari since you can't choose proxy server but then again it's still beta )

another alternative is to use the open in forefix / open in IE extensions - handy way of opening problem pages in the other browser

Here is the video I was on about:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1CFvsmnfXE

And the file that I referred to to block over 14,000 ads or something like that.
