Looking at these 2 on Komplett:

Bit hard to judge when the picture is small. Was hoping to get a glossy black one (I know :o ) but can't find one in this price range. Is there much of a difference for the extra €50 or is it just down to looks?

I have the one for €750, it's got a much better contrast ratio than the one for €699 and is just a newer model.

I'd probably pay the extra €50 as I've seen the one for €699 less than that. Komplett themselves were selling it for €630 a while back. Whereas the €750 one was €850 a couple of months ago when I went to buy (got it for less in powercity).

Thanks. I see Power City have the same model no. but with a dx/xeu after it on their web. It selling for €895. What would be the difference between that one and the Komplett one or are they the same? Model nos. are so confusing!

    ye get the €50 one.

Much better contrast, its lighter, has a bigger width (prob just the plastic or speakers or sumtin), also has a better viewing angle and more connections. few more auto zoom/aspect ratio features too. basically a lot of little things. main thing is contrast ratio. but ye, the pricey one is better.

I have the 40 inch version of the more expensive one and it's hard to fault picture wise.

Should mention tho that I have had a little problem with it flicking up through the channels by itself for some reason. Still looking into this. There are some great reviews on the UK version (with freeview built in) over at avforums.

I have the 32 inch one which is up for €699, have it around 6 months and would definitely recommend it.

Haven't seen the other one so I can't compare pic quality but I think the pic is 100% on the cheaper one and would certainly buy the same again...

Thanks for all the help. Think I'll go with the €750 one. Will toddle off to Power City first and see if I can get some kind of price match!
