Remote Control

I'm looking for software (preferably free!)to control another pc remotely? anybody have any experience or any software they'd recommend?

http://www.logmein.com works a treat for me. It's basically a remote desktop system accessible over the web.

There's also RealVNC which may be slightly harder to set up.

Both are free.

for ease of use, LogMeIn is the best, you need no ports being forwarded or IP's. We use it for providing tech support for our roaming employees that are usually hooked up to different internet connections at different times of the day. All they need is the LogMeIn software and an internet connection and you can connect to there computer (albeit, slower than VNC/VPN and not a P2P connection but via their website)

That being said, if you need this for a LAN, always stick with VNC. Ultra VNC and RealVNC being some good options.
