For new posters looking for tickets

Every year, at about this time, we get a lot of "genuine fans" coming along and posting here, looking for tickets. Usually there are only a few posts to their name, or on occasions it is their very first post on Boards. Now you may well be genuine fans and just trying to look as many places as possible for that elusive ticket, and that is understandable. However, any spares we have, and that in itself gets less likely as the championships progress, would go to regulars here that we know and trust, and even that would be after we'd sorted out our own personal friends.

On occasions throughout the summer, we had a few spares for games and we looked after our own friends first and then some people here if we still had some. The first time poster whose post is "Has anyone got a spare ticket?" isn't going to get anywhere here. Come and join us from earlier in the year as a poster, meet up with us after games if possible, and in so doing become well known, and then you might have a chance should we have a spare. For the two big finals coming up, we'll find it extremely difficult to get tickets for ourselves, let alone anyway else. We hope you can get a ticket, but here is the wrong place to be looking. Do come and post regularly however, so that the "Has anyone got a spare ticket?" post is not both your first and last post here.

Hi Flukey and all the GAA forum regulars.... I can see where you are coming from about All Ireland tickets.and i know it was probably a little silly of me to try here at all for a ticket , but tickets are as scarce as hens teeth down here in Limerick. I have contacts in Sligo and Wicklow , two real strongholds of hurling on the look out for me so you see , every avenue must be tried. I'm sorry if i got off on the wrong foot with ye forum regulars. For the record i was hoping Dublin would beat Kerry yesterday so dont take any notice of my dry humour yesterday.....:o
Hope that the Dubs can put there name on the The Cross of Cashel against Galway as it would do the Hurling in Dublin and Leinster the power of good.It looks like Dublin are the only team that will be able to put anything up to Kilkenny in the Senior in the near future in Leinster. And finally i hope Limerick can upset the bookies and the great hurling pundits and bring the Mc Carthy cup down to the Treaty City. 34 years is a long long wait.I was at the last three finals we lost and we were favourites in all three so maybe this year might change the trend. So heres hoping. Luimneach Abu.............

col16, fully understand trying anything to get a ticket and hope it didnt seem too harsh on you here for asking, but generally here we would always look after people we know first. Anyway, hope Limerick can do it also but will be a very dificult one to accomplish. Also, hopefully you can get sorted for a ticket also.

Stick around and become one. I think you'll find that Limerick will have a lot of support here.
