    I was told they all start around september, is that true?

    An apprenticeship as what exactly. It depends.

    For a sparks, they start end of August, start of September, March and I forget the other.

    You can apply whenever, it just means you will wait longer to get called up to tech but you get more hands on work.

    Once you get somewhere that will take you on, it should be ok. Ring up FÁS, and also check out http://jobbank.fas.ie and see is there any vacancies, or check your area for one. Once you get someone to sponsor you/take you on, I think you only have to ring FÁS within 3 weeks, and thats it.

    As said above, Sparks, etc start end of August, etc, but other than that, for some its a case of "whenever you apply".

    i started as a sparks 2months ago but there is still a 18month waitin list to get into fas for phase 2 so your ona go over the 4 year period anyway. it doesnt really matter when u start though!
