The way I feel recently

The last 3 months in my life have been like nothing I've ever experienced before. I've pretty muched moved out of home and it's been like a real coming of age period for me. I truely believe I'm really nothing like the person I was at the start of the summer. It's been very complicated and emotional but I believe my journey can be summed up in the following text.

Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit
He took the midnight train goin anywhere

A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
    Hiding, somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill,
    Everybody wants a thrill
Payin anything to roll the dice,
    Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
    Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

    Dont stop believin
    Hold on to the feelin
    Streetlight people

I take it you're sharing a gaff with a crack head, a wino and a prostitute then? And it's doing your head in?

You should probably move it to PI. I'd advise maybe moving back home;)

Or a brothel and you think you're about to be burgled?

    Definitely move out....

Actually after further soul searching and deep inner thought I've decided this text sums up my emotional time living away from home in the big city of Dublin.

    Roxanne
You don’t have to put on your red light
    Those days are over
You don’t have to sell your body to the night
    Roxanne
You don’t have to put on your red light
    Roxanne
You don’t have to put on the light
    Put on the red light
    Put on the red light
    Put on the red light
    Put on the red light
    Put on the red light
I loved you since I knew you
I wouldn’t talk down to you
I have to tell you just how I feel
I wont share you with another boy
I know my mind is made up
So put away your make up
Told you once I wont tell you again
    Its a bad way
    Roxanne
You don’t have to put on the red light
    Roxanne
You don’t have to put on the red light

Miss Fluff thank you for your thoughtful interpretations. You have no idea how close to the truth they are.

As for the blog suggestion. Not a bad idea. I might start one up it could be an outpost for my creativity. Also, I'm pretty much a schizo so I have a different personality every week, which could mean it stays fresh and recieves a wider audience? Just opened a window and realised it's sunny outside. Pretty sweet.

Isn't it "I seen her in a smokey room"? Worse english yeah, but i'm pretty sure that was it.

Steez, all I know was that he was in the Diner and he just picked picked out that song. And we're all thinking, OK the actual BEST television of all time is coming to an end and all that's happening is Tony's picked some random chessey 80s song on the juke box and is daughter is having awful problems parking her SUV. I mean I don't expect Prision Break over the top whackiness, but I want more than this. Then we see some weird guys lurking around and everything goes black, and we're all left thinking that was LAME, I don't read Harry Potter but I hoped it ended better than that. And it's only the text day when you're thinking about it, it hits you that as long as you live, you're never gonna see a piece of television that's as good again.

You know, I've always liked 'Don't Stop Believin'' but I'm sick of hearing it being played on the radio a million times a day now (2FM is the worse offender for this, I've found) just because it was used in 'The Sopranos' finale. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sick of the song itself, I'm just sick of it being played to death just because it was used in a TV show. And all these kids ringing up radio stations and requesting it because they think it's a great "new" song! GRRRRR! FFS, I was listening to it and enjoying it over 20 years ago (Christ, now I'm starting to sound like a right old fart, aren't I? :D ).

I hate the way good songs from the past end up getting a new lease of life after being used in an ad or a TV show or film or whatever and then, all of a sudden, people latch onto it and it ends up being played to death to the point that a song you once loved you end up hating!

Moderation, people, moderation! Didn't anybody ever tell any of these radio station execs and DJs that good things are best enjoyed in small doses (except sex, of course! ;):D)?

Yep, good call, Gizzle! :D Watched 'Caddyshack' for the first time in years there the other night on the telly and it was great to see those scenes again where 'Anyway You Want It' came on! :D

I'm just waiting for that to be used in the finale of 'Grey's Anatomy' or 'Desperate Housewives' or some other American shít and for all the radio DJs here to latch onto that as well and end up playing it to death as well!  If they do, I swear to God I won't be held responsible for my actions! :D

I just realised, I'm starting to sound more and more like some sort of closet Journey fan! Oh Christ, I'm turning into J.D. from 'Scrubs'! :D

J.D.: By the way, Carla, I know an amazing Journey cover band. You should get them to play at your reception.

Carla: Bambi, not everyone loves Journey as much as you.

    J.D.: I don't "love" Journey!

Turk (whispering): "She's just a small town girl......"

J.D. (bursting loudly into song): "Living in a lonely world. She took the midnight train going anywhere!" Fine, I love them. If you want to book the band they're called 'The Lovin', Touchin' Squeezein's' and they rock! Book them now, thank me later!

I have to say I'm a bit of a Journey journeyman, but a Journey journey is a journey worth journeying.

Please never mention Grey's Anatomy on one of my threads again. That show is an crime to the intellect, and it seems to be developing a cult-like following.

I'll take any drug in the whole damn world if you'll only notice me
Mainline poisons by the score - please will you notice me
I'll break any law, hurt anybody - for God's sake notice me
Cut my wrists and slash my face for Christ's sake notice me
I'll drink anybody into the ground if you'll only notice me
I'll kick the teeth out of anyone here - come on and notice me
I'll wear the clothes and cut my hair - please will you notice me
I'll be a pop star and I'll stand on stage - for God's sake notice me
Ch: Who told him that it mattered?
Who told him that anyone cared?
He's got an overgrown sense of his own importance
No one's really bothered around here
He was such a quiet boy, never any trouble before . . .

Well that would explain why you feel like a different person since the start of the summer.
