I have it from a strong source that they are bringing in random drug testing in my job.

Is this happening anywhere else? I know in the states its very common.
Is it legal here haven't seen any other jobs doing it

I work in a sales department of a large company, were a high percentage of people (young people on high) in here would be doing some of these things.

I could understand them testing employees whose job was driving or operating heavy machinery. But for a Sales Department they would have to come up with pretty good reasons as to why it's necessary.

I was told by a middle manager that there is a perception that people are using the higher spectrom of recreactional drugs and sometimes they think may be still high from the weekend.

What I can't figure out is that groups of young people with high levels of disposable income will be dabbling in a little here and their.

I would say if they tested today that 50-70% would fail.
