After the curry I had last night and the shít I had this morning, I'd imagine it's a very unhealthy shade of green.

There's a ring right in the middle of Uranus.

    Actually saw the article earlier.
Wasn't aware of the rings either.
Or I was and just forgot. I can't remember.

Change the name to Urectum. Etc.

Poor attempt at a funny thread title.
    Not really.
It's actually descriptive of the story.

It might be wrong to inflict this on the Astronomy forum.

    Definitly!

Send it to tCN instead, it will be more at home there.

Anyway Earth probably has rings around it now with all those satellites up there.

"The dark rings of Uranus have been seen end-on for the first time, giving astronomers the chance to detect unknown moons."

They have that hubble thing that can see distant galaxies. Why can't they use it as some sort of microscope to look at Uranus?
Or is it really used to spy on people on Earth, as I have long suspected?

What's the similarity between the Starship Enterprise and a roll of toilet paper?

They both circle Uranus looking for Klingons

We were though about Uranus' rings in school. I always wondered about their position as they differ so much from Saturn.

    "It's dead Jim"

Primary reflector mirror went tits up a few months back so hubble is no more. Bush is trying to stymy NASA's attempts to upgrade to a newer deep space telescope, thinking it more worth while to send people back to the moon  Pity, because hubble was just done with a survey of the Jovian moons.

Uranus jokes eh? It's like being back in primary school.
Side fact: Uranus is the only one of the nine planets who's axis of rotation is in the vertical plane...
