Relationship advice - legal problems (ish)

    Afternoon all,

Ok. Don't know where to start here. My friend dropped this on me the other day.

Basically, he's in a relationship that he shouldn't be in. I think anyway. In fact, I don't know.

He's seeing someone who is close to his family. They've known each other for years and only over the past year or so have finally copped that they have feelings for each other.

    That's fine, so far.

Problem is, the girl is related to him. Possibly.

He think's it's fine as they're just first cousins, not cousins. She's not sure. The problem is, they've been seeing each other in secret for over a year now, and it's getting serious.

Does anyone know the legal implications of all this, so I can help him?

What's the relation? As you've said first cousins but not cousins which would be the same thing so I'm having a little difficulty following you. Is it his aunt/uncles daughter?

First you say 'my friend', then you say 'we've been'...

I guess you should find out the relationship that is there. Is it blood or just my marriage (a step-something along the way)?

Noticed it too but thought maybe it was a slip up after pretending that he's talking about a friend rather than himself

So does she fall into the above categories?

I know the relationship Eve, I just don't know how it's looked upon.

I'm not trying to get agressive but you knowing doesn't help us knowing and you're asking us to help you.

It's no good asking how much your car is worth and you only saying that it's a car

    Hi snaffle

I had a problem similer to this few years back, i was adopted and met up with my birth farther when i was 19. I ended up falling for my step sister hard. We secretly "saw" each other for a few months. Our secret was rumbled when we were caught by her little sister "at it" in a shed at her brothers 21st birthday (probably shouldnt have got busy where the booze was being kept). The whole night went ape ****. I ended up fighting with her brother while her dad vowed never to speak to her again. I no long see any of them.

So id say let forbidden love stay forbidden
