Since we are on the topic of UFC 74, here how I think it will play..

Randy Couture vs. Gabriel Gonzaga = Couture (I dont know bout this one but in the words of Joe Rogan "That guy is my Hero")

Georges St. Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck = GSP

Joe Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino = Stevenson

Patrick Côté vs. Kendall Grove = Grove

Roger Huerta vs. Alberto Crane = Huerta (Huerta on the Rampage at the mo)

Renato Sobral vs.David Heath = Babalu (needs this win to stay in UFC)

Travis Lutter vs.Ryan Jensen = Lutter

Frank Mir vs Antoni Hardonk = Hardonk (Mir just aint the same and he was very lucky to win his last fight by decision)

Marcus Aurelio vs. Clay Guida = Guida (saw Guida in Belfast he was top class)

Randy Couture vs. Gabriel Gonzaga =I just dont think Couture can do it again.
Gonzaga is a bad opponent for him,assuming he has gotten over his cardio issues.

GSP vs Koscheck = GSP

Joe Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino = Stevenson

Randy Couture vs. Gabriel Gonzaga = Gonzaga to knock him out and Couture to announce his retirement afterwards.

GSP vs Koscheck = Koscheck to take him to the ground and pound him out. He has the most amazing take down technique in the UFC and is highly underrated. I think this looks like the best fight of the year and I go for Koscheck by tap out or by decision.

Randy Couture vs. Gabriel Gonzaga = Gonzaga by GNP

I think it'll be very similar to Randy's fight with Josh Barnett. Eventually, the youth and extra weight will take it's toll. Gonzaga can at least neutralise Randy's GNP game whereas I don't think Randy could do the same from the bottom position.

GSP vs Koscheck = GSP by decision

GSP is pissed and very focused. Koscheck will surely get a few takedowns but he'll not be allowed to be a blanket for 3 whole rounds. So I expect GSP to do major damage during the standup phases. After his win over Sanchez, Koscheck might be cocky enough to think he can stand with GSP. At least I hope so

Joe Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino = Stevenson by GNP.

Patrick Côté vs. Kendall Grove = Grove by decision. Can't stand the guy though!

Roger Huerta vs. Alberto Crane = Huerta by decision.

Renato Sobral vs.David Heath = Babalu by decision. I wanna see Babalu versus Ortiz soon!

Travis Lutter vs.Ryan Jensen = Lutter by submission

Frank Mir vs Antoni Hardonk = Mir. It's now or never for Mir. Surely he'll have good cardio for this match.

Marcus Aurelio vs. Clay Guida = Guida by decision

- Randy after mauling him in the clinch, he'll get the better of the earlier rounds and tire GG out. Im not counting out Gabe, Im just heinously biased when it comes to Randy!!

- GSP by KO or sub

- Stevenson by TKO

- Grove by dec

- Huerta by dec

- Babalu by sub

- Lutter by TKO/sub

- Hardonk by KO/TKO

- Guida by dec in FOTN (why this isnt on the main card is beyond me)




All in all a strong card, lots to look forward to.

I already put my money down on Koscheck. He's the outsider at around 2/1 with GSP 4/9 so I'm better to bet on him with a bookie. Gonzaga is slight favourite to beat Couture too, although it's pretty tight with Couture even money and Gonzaga slightly odds on.
