in the Jackpot 40FO last night blinds 25/50, i have folded for 3 orbits, didn't see a card higher than j and that was j10 twice utg. table down to 7handed
villian 1(8000) in ep raises to 125 doubled up on set over set
villian 2 in CO-1(8000) calls *forget think he was laggish, too early to know
    villian 3 in CO(4800) calls
    button(hero)(3900) [6,6] calls
    blinds fold

    flop 567 rainbow.
    villian 1 bets 125
    villian 2 raises to 400
    villian 3 calls 400
    hero?

wat should i do here? call/raise, if so how much?

As BCB said I’d raise 1800-2k and if re-raised I’d shove / called - shove on the turn…

as said above. you didn't go out with aj v aa by any chance?

    raise,

I'm guessing villain 3 (cold caller on the flop) is the real villain here..

you need to raise if you against donks who won't lay down overpairs and anyone with an 8 for a straight draw.

A made straight is very possible but you are 35% to fill up which is a fallback

yep. think i can safely say Mr. Plow was villian no. 3
    on the AA v AJo
thought my RR was warranted. you were playing loose enough. 2 limper you in CO. how can i give that raise much respect.
raising to 1600 was my mistake though. should have made it 1200.
could have walked away from that. but with the 1600 raise i was getting just better than 2 to 1. would have gone broke anyway if you just called
    Jhigh flop!
    with my 66
think you were setting up for the long bluff in retro.

nah that wasn't me. wasn't involved in a hand with you. villain 1 was directly to my left.

I kinda like a shove here as the pot is big enough for it to appear like a semi-bluff and you may well get called by an overpair, if someone has the made straight then fill up on turn or river

    *snigger*

    Not again!!! :p

Edit: I likes a shove here now that I think about it. We're never gettin away from the hand and there's a chance it widens the villan's calling range.

"I was getting my odds" or "I was pot commited" should be your sig smilingatu

Someone 4bet him all in Podge, never woulda guessed he was behind with AJ :D

no i think it will be smileatme i'm a donk.
ya should have laid down but people were building stacks quickly adn i would only have had 3000 left blinds going to 75/150.
aggressive PF play on table with 20bb. it was the wrong call i gave him way too much of a range. All the table(9handed) excluding 1 on 750 would have more than me.

Ah now stop it! We don't wanna hi-jack the thread completely.

I reckon it's gonna be tough to extract any value here unless someone goes nuts with an overpair. How should the hero play AA in this spot? The same?

The Hero should never be here with AA. The opening raiser has fired a small bet and had it raised which has then been cold called this demonstrates some interest in the pot already.

You are left with 3775 the pot is 1475 a raise to 2000 leaves you with 1775 left which you are obviously not folding anywhere with the pot at the size it will be should you get a caller this looks stronger imo than just shoving which you could be doing with A8 or some such hoping to take the pot there.

    I agree 100%
Of course the hero would never be here with AA :o
Still got my donk-hat on from a home game last nite.

Was just curious whether you should still re-raise/shove for value if an alien had taken over your brain momentarily and forced you to flat call pre-flop with AA in this spot.
