I've noticed that the Bsc Comp Sc (Evening Degree) is not in the TCD undergraduate prospectus for 2007/08. I was hoping start this degree next year and was wondering why it is'nt there. Has the university got rid of it? And if they have, what replaces it, or will it be restarted in the future?

Three evening courses (at least I think all three of them) were cut: Bsc Comp Sci, Bsc in Information Systems and a full business one, were all dropped due to insufficient demand.

When I say insufficient demand, I mean that 6 people started last years first year, in a course designed for 30/40 iirc.

As far as I'm aware, there are no plans to replace them.

Ah Crap!! Does that mean the six who started last year have had to drop the course?

No, it means they're the last year of it. They'll continue doing it and graduate soon, but there will be no admission of first years after last year.

So do TCD have any evening degree courses for 2008?
