There's one in the International on mondays and wednesdays. I think you have to book yourself in advance. Head in and check it out first. Bankers does one on a tuesday night. Both of these places are unplugged as in no amps/pa. Its definitely interesting.
Others would be the Dame Tavern on a tuesday (ranges from really good to awful), and thomas reads on a monday night I think. I went to one in the Mezz ages ago. Don't know if its still on. If you want to practice in a pub with about 2 people looking at you go upstairs in Nealons every second thursday.
    good luck

its on capel st just down from capel st bridge on the left. The night is on a thursday night. A guy called peter basically uses it to rehearse but people can come in and play. The barman usually claps after each song!!!!!:D
