    Is there going to be a new edition (possibly in next HD gen. format) of LOTR ?

    because I notice the special extended editions have been at a great price (€15 each) on play.com ?

    I don't know about a HD version, but I'm sure there will be.
    They are supposed to be releasing a new version of the movie in DVD quality that has lots more deleted scenes included.

    Well it looks like they are going to get us rings fans to double dip in HD as well with the theatrical release being issued on HD first with Special editions to follow, I wish they would just do a HD release with both versions, like they are doing with Blade Runner
