Boards.ie in Germany ???

I moved to Munich a couple of weeks ago and last weekend decided to do a bit of sight seeing around the city. I got the U-Bahn (underground) to the main train station in the city and when I got out I had a serious Boards.ie moment. Right in the front of the station was this shop, its like a cafe / bakery type of thing.

I got some serious looks from the locals when I started taking pics of the shop front (will post pictures later). I just stood there and laughed my ass of for about 5 minutes.

Who said Germans don't have a sense of humour ? :D

I'd gladly trade six million jews, gypsies, black people and homosexuals to have a yorma's in my hometown.

That brought about one of those laugh out loud in the office moments where I can't explain what I'm laughing at...

They also use "cool" and usually spell it the same (sometimes kool). It's basically a borrowed word from 21st Century lingua franca pop culture.

If I went around Germany saying Das ist Kohl I would probably get some perplexed expressions ... especially as it's coming from an Irishman. Kohl = cabbage. If you're lucky they'll think you're referring to the former Chancellor.
