msiss/parking question

    hey, i might be doing msiss this year and just have a couple of questions about it and trinity.

    Are there exams at christmas as well as summer?
    Is there any parking for students and if so how much is it?

    Yes, there are some exams at Christmas, Easter and Summer.
    These normally count for circa 10% of the overall grade.

    There is no parking on campus for students.

    There is a guest carpark on Pearse st. Prices are about the same as parking on the street (merrion square etc. i.e. very expensive), only advantage is you can stay there all day and there's a security guard. Your other options are to rent a parking spot, as a friend of mine did, park and ride at a luas/dart/bus station in the suburbs, just use public transport, or rent a flat in town. The last of which is often not much more expensive than the cost of driving into town every day.

    MSISS grad here. There's a bit of a change to the course structure this year so this might be slightly different now, but there at least used to be three exams at Christmas and Easter, and then 7 at summer. The Christmas and Easter exams are each worth 20% of those subjects.
