Anybody used the baby Skycots on long haul British Airways flights?

My partner and I are travelling to the US in October on holidays with our 1 year old daughter. We are flying to JFK and I had planned for us to go the direct route with Aer Lingus. However my better half was unsure about an 8 hour flight with the baby, and did a bit of research. She informed me that we would go on this trip on one condition, that we fly on a Boeing 747 with BA from Heathrow because they have Cots for babies, and also because there is lots of room for us and baby to walk around mid-flight.

So its all booked and we have our seats assigned with a Skycot in front of us, so we get loads of legroom. Flight was a lot pricier than Aer Lingus, but my lady got her cot. Plus the in-flight entertainment looks great.

Just wondering if anybody has used these cots before?

we have, unfortunatley baby was too big for the cot!!!:D. our little one was a year and a half at the time, but was waaayyyy too big for it. If your daughter fits, then they're great though, as i've seen plenty of babies sleep the whole flight in them, but they are pretty small. sometimes though, if it's a smooth flight, they let you lie them in front of you on a blanket as there's loads of leg room.

Indeed it (AVOD) is on a 767 or 777. Never taken a 747 where it has actually worked properly!

Used the skycot when I was travelling with a 6 month old. She fitted perfect and is a long baby. I'm thinking maybe at 1 years baby might be to big - at the worst it will be more like a chair/car seat than a bed. (They fold up to a sitting position). There is more legroom yes, but juggling the food tray around the cot takes some concentration.
