How much longer must I wait?!

Hey. I applied for a place in Trinity Hall yesterday morning at 9.30 after accepting an offer through the CAO. (:D ) I know it's unrealistic to expect a response so soon but, as you know, searching for accomodation takes time and effort and if my application was rejected I'd prefer to start looking for somewhere to live now rather than later.

Any idea how long it usually takes for them to reply?

    Thanks.

Congrats on your offer. Do start looking anyway just to scope out price/area/availability etc as I think the response time from Trinity Hall can vary. You may a good chance of a room but there's no harm at least keeping your eyes out for other things.

Think it takes a week or two.. can't remember exactly though, has been a couple of years!

  • I think most first years from outside the Dublin area get a place, but it wouldn't hurt to have a look at DAFT and get an idea of the areas you may want to live in and decide how much rent you can pay. I did that and was prepared to go to Dublin to have a look at some flats but then I got the call from Trinity Hall saying I was in. Good luck!
