Ok, so i need to do some research on different software deployement packages available, and i was wondering if anyone who works for a medium to large company can tell me what they use in their place. I'm just looking for some names of different software that is used, and then i can research it myself.

installshield is the big one. I've used it in the past. Bit clumsy to learn but lots of features.

Our software is web based so the clients must log on to our portal. Anyway everything is deployed to the different servers using ant and luntbuild. In my last company it was ant and cruise control.

Ok, i'll look at both of those. Thanks. Also, what programs do you guys use for logging calls? As in the helpdesk side of things. We use Service Centre, and i was thinking of doing some research on an alternate program to this (as its slow as hell)

We use Microsoft SMS 2003 to deploy software/windows updates/etc. It is fairly complex but powerful, and probably quite expensive. I stay away from the whole money/licensing side of things!
