Hiking and Via Ferrata in France (Pyrenees)

There's some cheap flights to Grenoble in September and I've a week off before going back to college so I'm thinking of heading over for some hiking. A guy in work suggested a Via Ferrata if I was over there. Has anyone done the one in Grenoble? If so can I get as much information on the route and what it involves. It looks quite dangerous but it also looks fantastic.

Was also thinking of just staying in Grenoble for a day to do the Via Ferrata then getting a bus or train down south to the Pyrenees for some Hiking or else Biarritz for some surfing. Anyone got any good websites or information regarding planning a 5 day hike in the pyrenees?

    Thanks

Edit: Why the Via Ferrata in Grenoble is dangerous =
