Oh my God! The JG Steyr ROCKS
I will post pics tomorrow when the light is right.

Just got the remainder of my order from eirsoft today.

The M4 CQB is a heavy beast. It came with a sling but no front
swivel to attach said sling. It also came with a barrel section that
I have not got a clue how to use. Its for fitting a Moderator/Silencer.
It appears to replace the front part of the barrel and front sights.
Fired on auto then went to semi and jammed the mech, went back to auto
then to semi and all was OK. I HATE the battery configuration trying
to stick it in the stock. Dunno why it could not have had the batt pack in
the hand guard, Speaking of which is HEAVY and SOLID. If it was
not for the little bit of play it would be great.

The Steyr AUG is something else. Fantastic!
Its only fault I can find is the pistol grip on the front is flimsy.

Having handled and stripped the real steel version I must say
the Airsoft version is great. The JG is Solid and the ABS has a lovely
texture so best not get droplets of silicone spray on it as it ruins
the finish. It strips down similar to the real steel with regards to
taking out the barrel and reciever. LOVELY. The Springs that
operate the cocking handle and slide to expose the hop up mechanism
on mine were rusty which was weird. The Barrel on the AUG is so Solid
and its a matt black finish. Thing looks like it would be great for a skirmish.

Must say my FN-FAL and this new AUG are now confirmed favorites.

Now I have a JG G36 and AUG I reckon I am going to be
quite fonr of the JG brand.

bullets is it the crane stock? took me ages to work out about the screw under the rubber in the buttplate for the dboys.

also if its the dboys cqb you need a bungee sling. this is a one piece sling that is attached to the rear sling mount on the crane stock, just behind the receiver.

works a treat....i have skirmished with the dboys one and its very good. i have a slight looseness in the front ris grip i need to tighten, but other then that..i think they are excellent....

Thats the one. Now that I have the batteries in, whatever way I have the
wiring it cant collapse so is extended. The Little covers at the front of the
stock keep falling off so I may superglue these are they don't need to be removed.

Its a solid bit of Kit though, feels more solid than the A1 version.

okay here is what i did...maybe your battery is different

1, remove the rubber backing in the backplate of the crane stock and put the aeg on safe

    2. in the middle is a large screw, remove it

    3. unclip the back of the crane stock

    4. you should see 3 tubes. the central one is for the support and locking nut for the crane stock.

    5. put the stock to its lowest setting

    6. you should see the battery connection in the tube.

    7. put the batteries (mine is in 2 sticks) into the left and right chambers

    8. wire it to the aeg. there should be two wells on the chambers at the sides closest to the central tube to let the batteries sink a little lower

    9. put on the backplate and screw (i dont screw it for skirmishes, i use duct tape) and the rubber plate and bingo

if you have 3 sticks on the battery you can buy a battery holder for the crane stock that centralises the middle battery allowing the tube to move outside it...otherwise like you said you cant retract fully or at least without a lot of shaking.

    hope that helps

the front battery covers, like you said are pointless, unless you want to make your own batts and do a bit or wiring jiggery pokery that would mean you didnt have to take off the stock at all. i also duct tape these in a skirmish.

According to Paul at HRTA last saturday there is 'someone' making a metal crane stock and he said it would be about 40 euro or so..so that might be another option.

    good luck

Yep thats what I did. Am a little worried bout the butt plate pusing on the wireing
though where it goes from the left chamber to middle and middle to right.
May start to modify it to suit my needs (which are not really at the moment)
Metal Stock would be nice! Mmmm.

If you like the JG aug I bet you'd love the CA Aug. No wobble on the foregrip, metal parts, brilliant scope:)

Yeah would have preferred the Green Military CA one but they were out of stock
when I tried different places and also Shiva got an AUG in nice and fast so
gave him first preference with regards to where I bought from.
Maybe in the future I will get another.

i will have a look tonight bullets, i was pretty sure they had 2 channels to allow the battery connector to sink a bit lower into the stock thereby avoiding any pressure...but i could be wrong. i have skirmished with it twice now and it is fairly robust...fires excellent as well, as good if not better then my G&G which is 3 to 4 times the price...
