    Guys & Girls,

How do I rename the Windows partition that bootcamp created? It currently shows up on my Mac OS desktop as "Untitled"

Its not a major thing.... but Ill admit I have a slight HINT of obsessive compulsive disorder where I have to have all m computers files/folders organised properly lol.. it can be quiet annoying when a mate gives me a few gb's worth of songs with all messed up names.. AARRRGGHH.. drives me looney! :o

edit: I know how to rename files and folders by the way but it wont let me rename the partition in the normal way...

As far as I know there is no easy option, you specify the name when you create the partition using Disc Utility or whatever. I know you can rename the main partition eg Macintosh HD but not sure about the others after they have been created, other than using the terminal that is. I could be missing something very obvious that isnt springing to mind though

The thing is though... I did name it when I was going through the boot camp process... called it Windows and that comes up ok on startup when i hold down alt key...

    Strange...

ctrl-click (see i didn't say right click ;)) and go to get info.

there should be a heading called "name & extension" click that.

a textbox appears, type in that whatever you want the partition to be called.
