Anyone know what this is like? Seems very cheap and still loads of places left. I've a place in postgrads res but I'm in a 2 bedroom and it's crazy expensive so might turn it down and go for this. Where on Ballymun Road is it does anyone know? ie is it near Ballymun?? :D Also, who stays there? Undergrads mainly?

if you know ballymun at all its right beside the civic centre - opposite the shopping centre. its the big(ish) tall(ish) building with a green roof.

its close to ballymun, but the complex itself has security...!

its about a 20 min walk to dcu.

i dont know who stays there, but anyone i know who is there is an undergrad.

the appartments are nice, basic but nice.

Hi, they are advertising the place with 10 minute walk to DCU? might depend on which building of DCU you need to get to....

I would really like to know how people manage to get a place there in the first place.........I contacted the agent in June (!), and still they have not managed to provide me with a proper link - I have registered, valid user name, email is recognised, however, in order to pay the deposit, you have to log into the website which seems to be not possible because I think they are not employing technicians but little girls....
I explained my problem about 25 days ago and got the message, someone will ring you about this. No call by now.
Friday evening I have received a message -final warning, if you are not paying your deposit by Monday 12 noon your place will be given to another person quicker to transfer the deposit. You can transfer the amount due by credit or laser card, please log back onto the website in order to do so.

upon registering, you usually wait to receive that verification email. No email whatsoever received. No call whatsoever received.

Me calling the lady again, explaining my problem. She then first asked me - did you check your spam folder? Bloody sure I did, got my own mail server, nothing can go lost there! She then went on -are you sure you gave us your right email address? For sure I did, how am I supposed to receive that damn final warning email otherwise??

so we went on the whole thing together, I explained the problem again - ok, says the lady, I will send you the link to activate your account. Nice thought. Email received. None of the links was working. Ooops we couldn't find that site for you!
Got back to the lady, telling her the link was not working, she promised me to check back with the website guys. Any chance they'll manage before Monday 12 noon?

however, I have the money ready, could transfer it via online banking in a sec, but they need their own website ref which they are unable to give me. I have their bank details too but was asked to not transfer before the account is activated. I guess I am going to become crazy over this one.

Hope there will be some nice email tomorrow morning clearing the issue. Otherwise I see myself camping down the Liffey tramping to DCU every morning....

Any similar experiences? Any help?
    Cheers !

You could just turn up to the apartments themselves. Me and my mate went there last year and they basically handed us a contract to sign. We ended up not takin it because they wanted a commitment for two semesters and I was doin INTRA so it didn't suit. Nothin like doin it the old fashioned way though. Plus it'll means you'll know what the apartments are like (they'll give you a tour) and where it's situated before you hand over the money.

Of course this isn't much help if your from Cork and can't make the trip.

They never got back to me. Not suprising when you see the story in this thread about their poor customer service. just took my place on campus instead. Way more expensive but atleast you're guaranteed it'll be decent and close to everything

What's that supposed to mean? I seen the postgrad accommodation and it's far nicer then the photos of that gateway place. Plus it's right in the middle of campus. Or will you dispute that too??
