Think there's no way you can get in. I know on some courses you an do pass maths and then take a seperate maths exam as an entry requirment. But if you actually fail maths I think you're repeating. Sorry

There where ppl in my course - who didnt fail but as said previously either done pass maths (and done well) or failed to get an honour (got a D)..

They then had to do them exams before the semester started..

Not sure what you mean by “DCU Computers”, but if you mean the B.Sc. in Computer Applications (DC121) then the minimum entry requirements are: either a Grade C3 in Ordinary Level Mathematics OR Grade D3 in Higher Level Mathematics

pretty sure all engineering courses you need a c1 in honours maths, (could be a 3 can't remember).

you could get in by doing a year course, plc or whatever first. but you may aswel just repeat maths and have a handy year.

In the engineering courses I know you have to pass maths. If you get a D3 D2 or D1 you get extra maths classes and you also have to go to an interview to prove you really want to do the course or something like that. If you get a C3 or higher you get straight in. I have to warn you the maths is very tough, I got a C3 in the leaving and failed first year maths, just finished the repeat there. Theres a lot of people that have dropped out just because of the maths!

    .

i'd an A2 in the leaving and found it tricky. all be it this was mainly due to laziness and a poor lecturer. Go to all your tutorials and you should be fine though.
