Insulation for partition wall

Putting up a partition wall under the stairs after having a downstairs loo installed. The insulation is more for noise reduction than heating purposes so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Had to install a Sanitop so it makes a bit of noise as well as the noise from the flushing. Also its not going to be a "traditional" stud wall with plasterboard etc but just the frame with that tongue and groove wooden cladding instead.

    Cheers

Heavy fibre glass would be good ,well packed.

Maybe get thin ply ,to keep the insulation packed and then put up the finishing timber.

i would agree with brian, some 1/4 inch ply with fibre glass in between. the ply will give you good purchase when it comes to putting up the tongue and groove. might be able to glue them on so you cant see any nail holes

Rockwool is much better for acoustic insulation, and less itchy to work with.
