You know, I sometimes forget why I love this band. I havent listened in a while, but there last two albums are both wonderful (as well as Jenny Lewis' great solo album). I didn't even know they had a new album out, but started listening to it on MySpace twenty minutes ago. Seven songs in, and Im liking it a whole lot. Very 70s vibe to it, mixed with the typical Kiley country / indie style.

is the album already out here in ireland or is it released next week?

alot of people seem to hate the new single but i love it, yeah sure it's pretty poppy and mainstream sounding and a move from their country influenced roots but a good song is a good song, if Rilo Kiley stuck to their usual sound and did not try something different after 3 albums i'd be worried so hopefully the rest of the album stands up, i'm sure it will, they've not released an album that isn't fantastic!

Not out til tomorrow, no, but the preview is up here . I must admit the single is the weakest song on there, but the rest is astonishing. Very different to the earlier albums, and massively successful that regard I think.

Hopefully they will get the massive attention they deserve with this new one.

I think so :-) They're playing Sunday night? Had heard Silver Lining and Dreamworld beforehand on Today fm and got the album at the weekend, love it, love it, and Jenny Lewis of course.
Review and setlist from their London show last night here, sounds like they're on form! http://www.nme.com/news/rilo-kiley/30530

Saw them in Belgium over the weekend . Thought they were sh!te at first but gradually came around to them. Some of the songs are very catchy. Will give the album a try.

Looks like they're on 7.15 - 8.15pm on Sunday on Crawdaddy stage, just after Beastie Boys second set of the weekend. Can't wait! :)
