managing gmail as pop account

    Hi.
    I've set up my gmail account as a pop account in outlook express.

    I've set it up to receive all mail from the beginning.

    However i just did a send/receive in outlook express and all my gmail disappeared.

    I'm guessing the "from the beginning" setting has reverted back to "from now on".

    How can i sort this out.

    Also when I delete mail FULLY from my outlook express gmail account I want it deleted FULLY from the web gmail account but this does not happen.

    Instead it ends up in the "all mail" folder in the web gmail account when i do this.

    How can i FULLY delete gmail from the web gmail account?

    I know there is an option to NOT keep a copy on the gmail server as soon as I receive it in my outlook express pop gmail account but i don't want to do this.

    I want to keep a copy on the gmail server until i decide to delete gmail using my pop gmail account.

    Incidentally i can do all this no problem with my yahoo pop account.

    Any way of doing this for gmail though?
