I purchased one from an ebay shop last march cant remember the exact price but it was a good deal at the time.

The name of the shop was 4-watches

    http://stores.ebay.ie/4-watches

Shipping was quick too, I think all of his watches are buy it now and not auctions.

Looks like they don't ship to ireland as he lists the countries he ships to and ireland isn't one of them pity

He does ship to Ireland. I just clicked on one of the G-Shock watches at random and he was charging $14.95 for shipping to Ireland. It doesn't specifically say Ireland at the top where he ships to but he does say EUROPE.

Who the hell would want to make a fake Casio watch????

Plus he has over 12000 feedback at 99.7% positive - the guy's practically a saint!

Did you have to pay the duty on it when it arrived?

No I did not have to pay anything

    http://cgi.ebay.ie/CASIO-G-SHOCK-SOLAR-POWER-30-DATA-MEMORY-G7300-1V_W0QQitemZ120152068399QQihZ002QQcategoryZ31387QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem

That was the model I got, I paid $45.00 for the watch and $13.95 p+p and that worked out at €45.49 incl del. Its solar powered so no need to replace the battery which I believe is expensive when it comes to Gshock due to the seals on them.

Ordered from http://stores.ebay.ie/4-watches on Monday evening. Watch arrived today in perfect nick. Very good service.

Thanks to this thread I ordered not one, but two watches (that I really don't need) from 4-watches. :D

Casio Protrek Tough Solar Triple Sensor (over €200 here)
    Casio G-Shock G8000-3V (c.€90 here)

Getting both delivered for around €150 so around 50% saving & thats including the shipping.

Will post back when they arrive.

I ordered a casio pathfinder yesterday so will keep you all posted.

Has anyone that ordered from these guys been asked to pay VAT at the door?

Getting stung by customs has me slightly concerned too. But being sent via USPS Airmail, not courier, so should be OK.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭savemejebus

no didn't get stung but then again i didn't get a very expensive watch, only about $50 (€100 for a similar one here).

If you order expensive stuff you could get caught as his packages have the price plainly printed on the package.

Ordered two watches from 4-watches off eBay late on Thursday night.

To my astonishment both were sitting on my desk when I got to work this morning!! Now that's super quick delivery.....from New York, quicker than from Clare.

Watches are just as expected.....so far....will report back later.

Well Lads I got one of these http://www.seiko.co.uk/html/productsearch.php?form=productsearch&brand=1&finder_id=&productsearch=snd449
Titanium Seikos which retail around the 280 euros for 143 euros delivered, ordered it on Friday and it arrived this morning, got the manuals and guarentee card but no box which doesn't really bother me. Shop I used was http://stores.ebay.ie/nicewristwatches
Also he is very helpful as he was heading on holidays friday but put in the effort to get it sent out that day. One thing with paying with paypal I had to get my account verified which is pretty painless.

Right lads went abit watch mad and bought a G-Shock Cockpit GW-1701D Solar powered watch http://cgi.ebay.ie/New-CASIO-G-SHOCK-COCKPIT-GW-1701D-2AV-Tough-Solar_W0QQitemZ270159806518QQihZ017QQcategoryZ31387QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem from this buyer, it arrived two weeks after order no issue it looks legit got the manual but no gauarentee card was the only thing missing now seller gets a great rating there is the odd negative point saying the watch they received is fake but his feedback is 99 percent postive. The only thing that worries me is on the back stamped it says "Japan movement, cased in Thailand" but it has all the other G-Force casio stamps as well, do u think its real or a very good knockoff.

I bought a casio from Casio uk and on the back of mine is "JAPAN MOV'T CASED IN THAILAND". I would imagine your's isgenuine

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,470 ✭✭✭✭Snake Plisken

yeah I thought so as it has all the functions that are listed in the manual and actually there is no seperate guarentee card its just a page in the manual. This ebayer is decent enough as you can just make an offer on the watch for example he was looking for 52 sterling for it I made an offer of 41 sterling and he accepted the offer, handy feature rather then getting into all the bidding stuff and getting beating in the last minute and getting it less then the buy it now price.
