2 Ipod's + 1 pc

Had existing Ipod, and have that synced and am happy with that.
Father in law has ipod, but presently no pc. His ipod is full, and he wants to delete some existing songs, and add new ones.
When I connect his ipod to my pc, it only gives me the option to sync with my existing library, deleting his ipod contents.
Also, I do not want to download his ipod library to my pc, as it's substantial, and not my taste. However, itunes only gives me an option to delete his library. Even when I opt to 'manually' manage, it still won't let me delete/manage his library.
Tried looking on the apple site to no avail.
    Any thoughts? All welcome!

Use a program other than itunes winamp works fine with multiple pods

That worked perfectly. Despite an error message linked to some .dll file, I could delete existing files, and add new ones in a windows type environment.
    Thanks again!
