Hey everybody, just a quick hello before I get to meet you all next weekend, been living up the coast with very limited net access, so thats the main reason I've been quite.
Just thought I'd share what I reckon is one of my favourite shots so far.

Welcome back, was missing your surfing shots too!

Did I get hit by the wave?
-Yeah, I went "over the falls" which means I got sucked over with the lip of the wave after the guy went past me. It pretty much happens every wave as long as I'm in the right spot. I've got a wetsuit and helmet protecting me so I haven't got too injured yet ;)

Thanks for the comments guys, I've missed this place. I'll be joining you in October full time again. And I'll see a couple of you this weekend.

Saw this earlier on and came back to it again. That is an excellent shot - one of the best water-ey shots I have seen. The water detail, sky, focus and composition its all absolutely bang on. If i had taken it I might be tempted to re-process it from raw to bring out the face as the face seems almost as dark as the wetsuit and in a summery action type of daytime shot it might work better if the face were more easily visible. Either way its a class picture.

Wow! The translucent texture of the wave is amazing - more like an abstract piece of glass sculpture.
