Noise / Disturbance

    Hello all,
I'm a final year law student and looking for a bit of info here.
I live in a housing estate, obviously a residential area and the pub just across from my house is blaring music, live music as in bands playing that is, at all hours disturbing everyone.
Now that pub does not have a music license as my parents along with other residents took a case against them years ago and the judge revoked their music license and imposed a condition upon it being re-granted that the residents were to be consulted about the prospect of music there again.

When they blare the music, we inform the gardai and all they say is leave us alone stop calling, they can play it as loud as they like, they won't acknowledge us saying they do not have a music license.

All I can think of that they're doing is causing a private nuisance under tort law. Does anyone know any statutory provision they're in breach of in order for the Gardai to have an obligation to intervene?
    All ideas appreciated, thanks

call your local district court - they'll assist you - environmental protection act 1992 - i think is the relevant piece of legislation
