Glasnevin, Drumcondra, Whitehall, Santry and Ballymun. There's a sticky about accomodation around DCU at the top of the page.

The college have a list of people who rent rooms to lodgers if you just want digs midweek for first year. I would avoid Ballymun and look at other areas mentioned above. You can stay anywhere between finglas east and donnycarney and phibsboro and be very close to the college by walking bike or bus.I am a DCU grad and leave nearby in Drumcondra. Try the new student place in Northwood Santry too.

I intend doing an update of the campus accomodation thread soon. If anyone would like to write a wee bit about their experiences in either on-campus accomodation or other options in the surrounding aread feel free to PM me and I'll arrange it all in an easily searchable manner within the thread.

As for your options OP, yes check out Northwood in Santry if you can, there are listings on daft.ie and it's actually where I'm moving into next week. :)

Went up to Hazelwood today, left with an apartment :) It's really nice in there I think it'll be cool. Though unless I took the long way, 15 minute walk to DCU my ass... Still, cool place!
