Cannot access some websites

    Hey y'all,

Tis the weirdest problem I have encountered.

I have 2 computers side by side here both sharing an internet connection via a USR5461 router and an eircom antenne.

One computer has no problems accessing any websites but the other cannot access neither boards.ie, newzbin.com nor kaspersky.com. The problematic computer can access all the other sites I have tried but those are the only ones showing problems.

The first thing I think is it has to be a virus or spyware. But why boards.ie and newzbin? I can ping all the websites fine which shows the DNS is working fine and I have tried using OpenDNS servers. I have used HJT, spybot, adaware, autoruns and process explorer to make sure the system is clean. It is running Kasperky Internet security 7.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks for any help/advice.

On the 2nd computer is it only a few websites or all websites?

Also, is there any sort of NAT setup on the router?

Also, Have any settings in IE been changed (security settings preventing http sites etc).

The only websites I have had a problem with so far have been www.boards.ie and www.kaspersky.com

    Hmmm - stumped.

Have you tried only plugging in computer 2?

i.e. is it a routing problem/Dual PC on one internet/Computer config problem.

    Installing Firefox.

Sorry - not much help but it's all i can think off

I have seen a similar problem like this if a user tries to access a website that stores logon information in cookies. Since the shared connection comes from a single IP, if you leave a browser window open on one PC with the website up, then try and use the second PC, the security ID cookies don't match and the site kicks you off.

Dunno if that is the issue here, but it might be something similar or related.
