No Frequent Flyer Credit Card for the Irish?

I recently took a job with a company that involves alot of flying.

I decided I might as well make the most of the frequent flyer programmes and get a credit card with an airline. There seem to be numerous offerings out there for all European countries and North America. But none for Ireland.
(Ryanair has one but it won't be any use to me!)

Why is there no card for Aer Lingus? Why are there cards for BA for the French and Germans etc? Is there a card that I have missed or is there just a gap in the market?

    Thanks
    Steve

MBNA do one in association with Delta.

There used to be Aer Lingus cards issued bu AIB but I think that has stopped. I think BOI now do one for Aer Lingus, but it's not a very good deal from what I hear.

Yeah I agree, no decent airmiles clubs to join in Ireland. I think EI did away with their Gold Circle card when they did away with business class. And I would rather swim/walk than use Ryanair.

BOI do have a credit card that relates to EI but I think it's just for access to the EI lounges (but only if you are flying on EI) and it isn't cheap. The cost of the BOI card is 120 euro per year (and that doesn't include the 40 euro annual government rip off charge    )
