Scart extension lead

I have a Panasonic 21" TV from the '90's which has only one SCART socket. I've a 1 to 3 extension lead to enable more than one device to be connected to the TV. In the last few days Chorus digital was installed. When the Chorus box is connected to one of the sockets on the SCART extension, there's no sound on Chorus, however the picture is ok. If I connect the Chorus box directly to the TV however everything is ok with both picture & sound. The DVD player will work quiet happily when plugged into the SCART extension lead. Can anyone help?

Have you tried using a different scart lead between the Chorus decoder and the scart block?

Yes, if I use a straight lead, ie: 1 to 1 it works ok. But as there's only 1 scart socket on the TV I need the 1 to 3 extension for the DVD & other devices if required.

looks like you have eliminated the chorus box, and the scart lead as been the problem, have you tried swapping inputs on the scart extender, eg putting the DVD player into the socket used by the Chorus box and visa versa.

I've worked around the problem. I've connected the Chorus box to the VCR, & the VCR to the TV via the scart extender, & it works ok. It seems that the Chorus box didn't like the scart extender.

Thanks to all for your suggestions.
