I just have a couple of questions for people who have bought the N95 from O2 or Vodafone.
Has any functionality been removed by either network (like SIP)?
Are either network supplying the handset unbranded and/or unlocked at the moment?

Have an N95 on billpay with 02 , physicaly its not branded at all only a software screensaver. None of the functionality seems to be taken away and it has the latest firmware version installed. Be careful though the new firmware has ASSISTED-GPS turned on by default which connects to a central server to be estimate your current position when using the GPS software, so each time it calculated your current position you get charged O2s extortionate data rates. Its only a few kilobytes each time but over a month using the GPS it could add up to a big unwanted bill.

I upgraded a friend's O2 N95 to the latest firmware the other day and I can confirm that his wasn't locked either. All functionality was there compared to my British SIM-free version. Utter shame there are no data add-ons.

    Thanks all for the info.
I rang vodafone earlier and asked why the phone was €200 dearer with vodafone.
I was told that it was because the vodafone N95 was better quality
I must be missing something here cause thats laughable.

Also can anyone tell me if vodafone N95's have the v12 firmware also?

Ya the vodafone one comes with v12 on it. Got mine a couple of weeks ago, €80 free credit and 1 gig card too. Also unlocked, there data prices are coming down a little in a couple of weeks too
