I'm looking for a weekend camping EP ticket from ebay or buyandsell.
I've never bought a ticket for a gig in this fashion.

Can anyone tell me is this safe or should i try meet up with the seller (might be hard if they're a bit away)
Any tips are appreciated or picture of a real ticket or information on fakes goin around would be great..

Try and meet up with them if at all possible... I've bought dozens of tickets off eBay (uk) in the past without any issues, but buyandsell might be riskier payment wise. I can't recall perfectly right now but I'm sure my ticket is just pretty standard ticketmaster issue.. if there's anything dodgy about it just tell them to get stuffed ;)

I'd really try and meet the seller where something like a ticket is concerned, so you could get a look at it and see it's genuine.

I bought a couple of tickets for a concert off ebay before. As it turns out I was very lucky. The seller was from a town very near me and called over to give me the tickets which were genuine.

You could of course buy some of the ones that are on ticketmaster right now instead.

Personally I'd be a bit nervous of buying a ticket for a big event like this from eBay. I bought a ticket last year for a Marlay Park gig from eBay without any problems, but that was barely €50. I think the bigger the price, the more tempting it is for sellers to ask their friends to inflate the asking price by putting up fake bids! Not saying that it ALWAYS happens, but it CAN happen.

As an alternative... that is, if you haven't tried this already...tell everyone - that is e-v-e-r-y-o-n-e you know that you are looking for a ticket. Sending an email that can be forwarded around to friends of friends would be ideal.

You never know who bought an extra one and wants to offload it, you see. Last year I was left with a ticket I'd bought for an ex - so I told everyone I wanted to sell it... and the brother of a girl I used to work with bought it. Worked out well for both of us, and there were no scary "will I be ripped off?" thoughts as we both knew someone in common.

Apparently tickets bought with a credit card can be cancelled. Some people at ****** were caught out because the tickets they had bought second-hand had been cancelled.

This can't happen with tickets bought with cash, so that might be a safer bet.

Keep hitting it a few times. You might get a sold message but Ive constantly got in over the last few hours and Ive sent lots of friends whove got tickets today. They are being trickled back into the system

Thread has made it's point so is now closed. OP, hope you got your tix on ticketmaster today, were quite a few available (I got through around lunchtime out of curiosity). Anyway this board isn't for individual selling or buying so now closed.
