Gerard Butler to play me, in Escape remake

Just read that the director of the Escape from New York remake is Len Wiseman the bloke who directed Die Hard 4.0, not sure how good this news is as I did like Underworld but not really into remakes of classics they usually turn out crap. But on the casting side I'm happy if the rumours are true and they get Gerard Butler to play Snake as thought he was excellent in 300

Gerard Butler sounds good in the role of Snake but if that fcukwit Len Wiseman is directing, its bound to be dire. Why cant they get some one good like Paul Greengrass or just get Carpenter back to direct.

Well Carpenter is really gone off the boil in the last couple of years I mean did anyone like Escape from LA? It's hard to know who would make a decent remake, if I could select I'd pick Zach Synder but thats never going to happen.

I think Gerard Butler could make a good Snake, but Len Wiseman? I dunno. Die Hard was entertaining as hell, but I dunno if I'd trust him with such a classic.

After seeing the latest Bourne film, I think Greengrass would be an excellent choice.

No he'll be keeping his Scotish accent..just like in 300.
Something about a Scotish accent makes a Spartan sound harder.
