PS3 Internet Connection

Wasn't aure where to put this, can't see a PS forum. I'm having trouble setting up my PS3 for wireless internet - it wont automatically pick up my IP address. This falls between the realm of PS3 and Broadband connectivity, was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem? Cheers.
