Ive just moved here from Australia and plan to have my wedding in Dublin at the end of October. I’ve noticed since I’ve been here that my legs have got quite dry. I’m thinking about getting some of the Nivea Lotion for dry skin – has anyone tried it or can recommend a good body lotion dry dry skin. I would prefer something you can get from the supermarket as I’m broke enough from organizing the wedding, I don’t want to turn up on the big day with flakey legs.

Hey, I would recommend Aveeno (think that's how's it spelt. Sold in supermarket and chemists). They do one for extreme dry skin which I've used before and found brilliant. A little more expensive than nivea but I found it actually moistured my skin really well!

Whereas I would recommend Palmer's Cocoa Butter :) Smells wonderfully chocolatey :D

Also, oat-milk baths: get some porridge oats. Get a square of muslin (or some other fine material) and some string. Tie oats in fabric, and then tie from tap. Run bath so that water runs through oats-in-bag. Occassionally squeeze oats-in-bag (Alternatively - soak oats-in-bag in already-run bath for a bit, then do occassional squeezing to get lovely oat-milk in bath)

Also look at your diet - possibly start taking essential oil capsules, and plenty of oily fish (if not veggie) and, once again, oats.

Edit: Palmers is good too :) and it does have a much nicer smell than aveeno

No need for expensive cream, the best things you can get for dry skin are silcocks base, aqueous cream or E45 all under a tenner and available in any chemist

Yep, E45 is brilliant for dry skin. I get dry skin on my legs too and this stuff is great.
