CCNA Router Commands

    does anyone know in the ccna exam is there any problem using abbreviated commands in the router simulators copy run start etc or does the full command have to be used for the exam

    The sims are finicky, you'll find some abbreviations work and some don't. If you get wierd (or no) results then be as explicit as possible. Also often even if there are multiple ways to achieve the result the sim may only accept one, look to the wording again for clues on which method to use if you run into something that seems to be programmed correctly but just doesn't work.

    for the ccna exam use NO abbreviations, on some sims they simply dont work. best to know the full command for all functions and be safe... rather than being sorry.

    When I done it a few years ago, If you entered ? like in a real router the help for the commands came up. The ones that worked for that question were in bold, the others were greyed out. This gave a good pointer towards the correct answer.
