    final table 6 players left

    blinds 3k/1.5k ante 300

    hero big blind with 8H 6H ( i have about 70 k chips )
villian 1 off the button flat calls 3k
    button fold
    sb fold
i raise 10k good or bad move??

    villian reraises 33k all in

reads on villian not a very good player, was been very passive with big hands and tryed to slow played ,never raising on the pre flop or the flop etc ( on the final table anyway), so my thinking on the way he played this hand is he's weak, defo not a high pair and he doesnt want to see a flop....

call with any 2 cards ??

23k to win 43k. I call now but I check preflop. Building a pot oop with low ish suited gappers is.... not wise imo, esp when you leave villian with a stack of a psb if he flat calls.

**its called stealing the blinds and antes

Fair enough if you think hes tight enough to steal from when hes in the BB/SB, but when he calls from the button for 1/10 his stack, you dont reraise him with tbh a fairly ****e hand. We can assume he aint going to be raising you all in with suited connectors, probably any good ace or two high cards. And you're probably going to be dominated. As NeoSlicerZ said, check and lead out on a decent flop sure, but dont like this play one bit.

As you pointed out he's not a very good player and was slow playing big hands

so why would you raise him hoping to rob the pot and out of position, if this is your read on the guy why not just check and see a cheap flop, and if you connect with your hand you will more than likely get paid off.

not sure i understand your thinking around this - maybe because its late and the fact that i just had a shot of some morphine to ease my pain!

i assume your suggesting that because he pushed all in when you raised him, is what makes you think he's weak..? IMO if anything he has slow played a big hand and wanted a raise from you so he could push ....

Based on your information, raising pre-flop is Bad / however now your in the situation i would deffo call as your getting something like 2/1 on your money and you still have over half your stack left if you lose.

edit - just reading back over your post, what was your plan on later streets if he just flat calls your raise...?
