Im thinking of heading to france for some bathroom bits and pieces, and am wondering what the laws are on tax and vat etc. Anyone done something similar?

Mods, apologies if Im in the wrong section, please feel free to move or delete, and thanks.

No laws on tax and vat. Ireland and France in The EU so you can bring what you like. I go to France for drink and fags and household and building items all the time no problems at all. Be careful with plumbing fittings because alot of French bits wont connect to Irish pipes and other fixings due to different sizes and connections.
