Watched the game tonight on Sky. I find the new position for the score and the time on the bottom of the screen very annoying. It’s actually taking up some of the playing area. The old position, top left hand corner was just blocking out some of the crowd.

Ya it's change for changes sake.
And that big blue banner makes no sense.
Either have the writing bigger or just make the banner shorter.
    It serves no purpose.

Ill tell you what i hate the most? The OVERUSED sample from the Klaxons or someone, you know, after EVERY ad-break or when they have "whats on later" on screen.

the constant "Ay-Ay-Ayyyyyyy, Ah-Ah-Ahhhhhhhh, Oh-Oh-Ohhhhhhhh" just does my head in. And ive only watched 3 matches!!! I cant bear a full season of that.

    It's not so bad.

My first reaction was positive when I saw the score and time in the bottom left. The actual text takes up less room than the previous top corner model. However the blue section surrounding the text is far too big and takes up too much room

Agreed ! Absolute headwreck. Seems like they have only done it to make their poxy little scrolling text bar fit in more neatly when it runs across the bottom of the screen.....arrrgghhh :(

Glad im not the only one that hates it!

I also hate the way its in the opposite corner to the sky sports logo. Just seems to grab your eye more and makes the screen very small(if that makes sense)

Couldnt they have just done the La Liga thing and had a tiny bar with

    MU 0-0 CH|76:08

in the top corner rather than a big chunck of blue with only about 1/4 of the section being used.

Some of the foreign channels dont even have the score for a whole match, they just stick it up every so often, which is a bit nuts.

Glad I'm not the only one annoyed by it. Surely if you're gonna have a big blue box that size, why would you then go and abbreviate the teams names to two letters. Literally a waste of space.

And yeah, I kinda liked the song already (I think it's Hard-Fi) but it's being way overused.

I think it's better than what they had for the Asia trophy - I remember when Liverpool played Pompey, the ticker was pretty big and was pretty central in the screen.

It looks like its that size (with the blank blue on the edge) to accomodate widescreen/non widescreen TV's in the one go.

    How old are you?

Jesus, back in the day this was all they ever used to have on British TV aswell.

    Much better imo.

Even better was trying to guess how long the ref was going to add for injury time, before the time when the linesman would hold up the board.

I've watched a few matches now with the new onscreen score and I think it's an improvement - but I'm saying that with a 40" LCD widescreen TV with Sky HD

You'll all get used to it, just like when Sky brought it in first about 15 years ago.

Yeah, and it was sh1te. Score on screen means not wondering if someone's scored if you come in late and answering "What score is it?" from your gf every few minutes even though she doesn't actually give a crap.
