    hi all

    i have a boss bd-2 (blues driver)
and a boss ds-1 (the classic orange distortion)

the ds1 has level problems IMO
when I max the level (volume), it is not really that loud

with the level at 12 oclock, the bd2 is about the same volume
as the clean signal which is right, the ds1 is way quieter
and is not working as i wished...

i use a clean amp, the bd-2 does crunchys
and the ds-1 is supposed to be well heavy for leads/freakouts!

have I a lemon? any mods? is this common?

    cheers
